Hope by this time you all will have heard this good news that finally the the mobile phones are banned inside our temple(holle devall). It gives me immense pleasure to hear the same, because I was part of the mission gosripurambhakthajanasamooham, and am proud of being so. The following is my response to the ban.
I got mobile phone 4yrs ago, when I was studying in degree first year. I don’t know why I was against using mobiles in sacred places. I am not saying I have never used it in temples, but I have restricted its use only to attending calls and replying important messages, that too rarely. During those days I remember a meeting called to form a group. Only three attended, and i remember the place where we sat, near the devaswam library, we discussed many problems faced by youth and the effect on our temple. When the issue of mobile came in, i spoke rather strongly against it. The place we sat, the way i spoke, the way they heard my words, i can see it still when i search in my memory. But sad to say that group’s first and last meeting took place at that same place, we saw it impractical to act and hence we dropped the idea of a REVOLUTION. But read carefully, the thoughts which i expressed, still remained in the temple, it merged with some others similar thoughts and at this stage , 3years after that unsuccessful group , an online group is formed which pressurized the management to call for a ban. I'm happy and experienced a Butterfly effect . I feel vindicated.
I also heard some honorable person in devaswam has criticized us for putting these issues on internet. "Dear sir, with utmost respect, this is what we have to say, technology has two sides, obviously there are many things bad and many things good. If you don’t know the people who use internet for good purpose am proud to request you are free to join this group, gosripurambhaktajanasamooham.. Nowadays internet is a medium of communication, people especially youth check their mail at least once a month. So i congratulate the founder of this group that he chose the best available medium to communicate. The issues in temple must be known to the mahajans.. Also there are only a few youth like us who discuss things related to our temple and dharma, if you can not appreciate their work, pls do not discourage them.."
The implementation part of this ban is the toughest part, only way i think is to personally plead to each one we know to respect the temple rule. The path to dharma is not smooth, its like walking on the edge of the sword.. So lets start walking:-)

breaking news : mobile phone use banned inside temple
The mobile phones are completely prohibited in the thirumala devaswam temple here. The news was officially announced during the Nadathurappu today evening. (Note Mobile phones are completely prohibited from the temple not only from the pradakshina shed but also from the whole temple). Gosripurambhaktajanasamooham, an online group of devout gsb , had asked the temple admin. committee to ban mobile phones. gosripurambhaktajanasamooham said "Our first mission successfully completed. We have climbed the first step towards the victory. The mobile phones are completely prohibited in the temple. We did not receive any mails from the C.T.D about banning. But the news was officially announced during the Nadathurappu.We being the members of the Gosripuram Bhakta Jana Samooham should take a resolution that we will not carry mobile phones inside the temple. "

Gosripuram Bhakta Jana Samooham appreciates whole hearted effort done by GSA for the upliftment of the G.S.B community. They promise the words of the H.H Samyameendra Tirtha Swamiji for conducting Sandya Vandhanam Classes to our Mahajan's. As a part they've started the same from 20th June 2010. They've extended the same upto 4th July 2010. They are also planning to continue Sandhya Vandhana on all Sundays.

Bala saraswathi satsang
The Bala Saraswathi Satsang is one of the leading active group in Gosripuram. It is leaded by sri.Umesh Kamath. There are 200's of Kids who are regular in its activities. The group weekly conducts Satsangs at Vyas Mandir in Cochin Tirumala Temple, their activities includes teaching Dharmic recitations and the Bhajans to the upcoming generation. The group started their activities during 2005 on the Vijayadashami day in the presence of Kashi Matadhi Pathi H.H. Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swami and H.H.Srimad Samyameendra Tirtha Swami. Ideology to start this group was given by H.H.Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swami. Star XI cricket club and samskruthi Bhajana Mandaly jointed to form Bala Saraswathi Satsang. The Bala Saraswathi Satsang was named by Kashi Matadhi Pathi H.H. Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swami. Initially there were only a few kids, but at the 5th anniversary this group has grown up to sky.
We Gosripuram Bhakta Jana Samooham really appreciate the initiative done by Mr. Umesh Kamath (Profounder of Bala Saraswathi Satsang) for his commitment towards the welfare of the G.S.B Gosripuram community. This group will build a strong foundation in the hearts of the upcoming generation. In this Electronic world the value of the Dharma and the Samaj has declined a lot, but this group is making an effort for the upliftment of the declined values. The upcoming generation has to take the profit from it to build a better community than present. May the Gosripuresha bless sri Umesh Kamath and team to build a strong upcoming G.S.B community.
